Clearview Branch Closed, Re-opening in James W. Hill Public School Sept. 7th

The Clearview Neighbourhood Library Branch will be closed from August 22 to September 6 while we move to the new location.  The book drop will remain open during the closure and remain open until September 13, 2010.

All other branches of the Oakville Public Library will be available to serve you during the closure.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

The branch will re-open on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the James W. Hill Public School located at 2860 Kingsway Dr.  The new hours for the Clearview Neighbourhood Branch will be:
Monday to Thursday 3:30-8:30pm
Saturday 1:00-5:00pm

The new location will give the neighbourhood branch a permanent and more convenient location in the community.  Sharing space with the school library will mean an additional 1,000 sq. ft. of space, much bigger collection of children’s materials, and more computers.

Any questions or comments about the Clearview move can be directed to Janice Kullas, Director of Service Planning and Development, at jkullas@oakville.ca.

All Oakville Public Library Branches Closed September 20-21, 2010

All branches of the Oakville Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 20, 2010 and Tuesday, September 21, 2010 due to a computer systems upgrade.

The upgrade will  include moving to new servers and upgrading software.  The changes will allow our systems to run more efficiently, but will not affect how customers use our website and catalogue.

Due dates and loan periods will be extended to cover the closure.  Book drops will remain open at all locations.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
