Join us as we explore online academic resources available from Oakville Public Library to complement your distance education. This hands-on workshop focuses on searching information databases and using database tools for research and homework.

Adult Book Clubs
Want to discuss interesting books with interesting people? Join one of our book clubs and experience discussions led by our team of knowledgeable librarians.
Sessions run once a month from October to April, excluding December. Included in your registration fee is a ticket to An Evening for Book Lovers at which you will have the chance to vote on 4 of the 6 titles the clubs will read during the 2010-2011 season. Books are provided for borrowing.
Registration through IRIS begins Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 9:00am.

Behind the Scenes of CBC’s The Tudors
How do you go about creating 16th century England in the 21st century? Join us for a behind the scenes glimpse at the making of CBC’s hugely popular series The Tudors with Gemini award-winning Tudors’ Co-producer Bob Munroe.
Find out how world-class costume design, extremely creative art direction and state-of-the-art visual effects were used to make 16th century England come to life. Actual costumes from the show will be displayed!
